Sinotruk & Weichai Power Global Partner Conference held in Qingdao

The Shandong Heavy Industry Group-Weichai Power Global Partner Conference, themed “Technology Empowering a Better Future,” grandly opened at the Qingdao Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center. Ren Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Qingdao, and Manshengang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Shandong Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, attended the conference and delivered speeches. Wang Zhijian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, delivered a keynote speech and presented awards to outstanding overseas strategic partners; Ye Jianjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director, and Chairman of the Trade Union, presented awards to outstanding overseas employees. Nearly 3,000 partners and overseas employees from over 140 countries gathered to celebrate friendship and discuss development.

Ren Gang introduced the development of Qingdao. He stated that Shandong Heavy Industry Group, as a leading enterprise in China’s equipment manufacturing industry, possesses a number of globally competitive brands such as Weichai Power and China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, and is moving towards becoming a world-class multinational high-end equipment enterprise. Shandong Heavy Industry has maintained a close cooperative relationship with Qingdao for a long time, injecting strong momentum into the development of Qingdao’s advanced manufacturing industry. He hoped that Shandong Heavy Industry and its partners would come to Qingdao, choose Qingdao, and settle down in Qingdao, working together to create a better future.

Manshengang introduced the development of state-owned assets and enterprises in Shandong Province. He stated that Shandong Heavy Industry is an outstanding representative of Shandong’s provincial enterprises and a shining brand for Shandong’s global expansion. In recent years, Shandong Heavy Industry has maintained a strong momentum of high-quality development with its unwavering spirit of perseverance, pioneering spirit, and continuous pursuit of excellence. The Shandong Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission will continue to firmly support Shandong Heavy Industry’s development, growth, and efficiency improvement, helping it become a leading force in the globalization of Chinese equipment manufacturing and a world-class high-end equipment multinational group with leading technology, green development, and a global layout.

Wang Zhijian shared Shandong Heavy Industry’s development advantages, strategic direction, and win-win philosophy. He stated that the complete industrial chain driven by core technologies, industry-leading intelligent manufacturing capabilities, and a strong brand matrix have propelled the group’s rapid expansion in the global market. In the future, Shandong Heavy Industry will focus on four key areas: new energy, digitalization, aftermarket, and globalization. Working hand in hand with partners, it will accelerate its overseas localization layout, promote integrated operation of all elements including R&D, production, supply, sales, service, finance, and branding, and deeply cultivate the vast global market.

The conference officially launched Shandong Heavy Industry’s global brand logo. Ren Gang, Manshengang, and Wang Zhijian, along with representatives of strategic partners and overseas employees, unveiled the logo. The conference also launched a new brand mission: “Technology Empowering Equipment, Creating a Better Future.”

During the conference, Shandong Heavy Industry Group signed strategic cooperation agreements with Huawei Digital Power Technology Co., Ltd. and China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, focusing on in-depth cooperation in overseas markets to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. Furthermore, the conference recognized units and individuals who made outstanding contributions to the Group’s global development, awarding 40 units the title of “Outstanding Overseas Strategic Partner” and 30 individuals the title of “Outstanding Overseas Employee,” further consolidating the consensus on cooperation between the Group and its partners and inspiring overseas employees to forge ahead.

A new product showcase was held concurrently with the conference, where Huawei, China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, and various domestic and international subsidiaries of Shandong Heavy Industry Group showcased their products and technological achievements. Shandong Heavy Industry Group presented new products and technologies from its six major business segments, fully demonstrating the Group’s strong product matrix advantages and core technological strength, laying a solid foundation for further deepening global cooperation and expanding market influence.
