On June 16, Wang Zhijian, Party Secretary and Chairman of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (SINOTRUK), and Liao Jiasheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), held strategic cooperation talks in Beijing. Focusing on the green transformation of the commercial vehicle industry and low-carbon industrial development, the two sides conducted in-depth and comprehensive exchanges on expanding pragmatic multi-field cooperation centered on SINOTRUK’s core business and leveraging the market influence of the iconic HOWO heavy-duty truck brand.
During the meeting, Wang Zhijian fully introduced the overall development layout, technological innovation achievements and industrial development advantages of SINOTRUK, a leading domestic heavy-duty truck manufacturer. He emphasized that SINOTRUK’s core HOWO brand series, covering heavy-duty trucks, new energy commercial vehicles, special engineering vehicles and other full-segment products, has long occupied an important position in domestic and global commercial vehicle markets. Relying on strong R&D strength, complete industrial chain layout and mature overseas marketing system, SINOTRUK has been actively promoting the green upgrading of traditional fuel vehicles and the large-scale popularization of new energy commercial vehicles, and has accumulated rich practical experience in energy conservation, emission reduction and low-carbon manufacturing.
Liao Jiasheng introduced CECEP’s strategic layout and professional advantages in ecological environmental protection, energy saving and carbon reduction, zero-carbon industrial construction and new energy industry. The two sides focused on key cooperative directions, carrying out detailed exchanges and in-depth discussions on ecological environment governance, industrial energy conservation and carbon reduction renovation, the construction of zero-carbon industrial parks and zero-carbon intelligent factories for SINOTRUK production bases, as well as in-depth synergy in new energy commercial vehicle supporting businesses. In addition, the two parties reached a consensus on joint expansion of overseas emerging markets, planning to rely on HOWO’s global brand popularity and mature overseas channel layout to drive the export of green and low-carbon commercial vehicle equipment and integrated environmental protection solutions, and jointly explore overseas high-quality development opportunities.
Both sides clearly stated that they will take this talks as a new starting point to further deepen long-term strategic partnership, continuously expand the breadth and depth of pragmatic cooperation around SINOTRUK’s whole industrial chain layout and HOWO brand product advantages. The two parties will work together to empower the green and low-carbon transformation of the commercial vehicle industry, accelerate the iterative upgrading of new energy and low-carbon products of SINOTRUK HOWO series, strive to realize complementary advantages and mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly boost the high-quality and sustainable development of the green manufacturing and new energy commercial vehicle industries.
