At approximately 12:50 Myanmar time on 28 March 2025, a magnitude 7.9 earthquake struck near the central Burmese city of Mandalay. Following the quake, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group urgently mobilised a consignment of relief supplies for dispatch to Myanmar, providing full support for local disaster relief efforts.
On the morning of 1 April, two lorries carrying 40 tonnes of relief supplies departed from Yangon, bound for Mandalay and Naypyidaw.
This donation aims to provide urgent livelihood support to affected communities in Myanmar, prioritising the delivery of essential medicines, mosquito nets, lighting equipment, food, and drinking water. The relief supplies will be transported to the disaster areas by staff from Sinotruk’s Myanmar representative office and local partners, ensuring swift distribution to those in need to help them overcome this crisis.
Sinotruk remains steadfast in its commitment to actively fulfilling social responsibilities, supporting disaster relief and public welfare initiatives across the globe, including Myanmar. The company will continue monitoring the progress of relief and reconstruction efforts in the earthquake-affected regions of Myanmar, ensuring essential assistance reaches those affected.
